USPS's new $50 hazmat non-compliance fee starts costing sellers $5 per flagged package (perfume, aerosols, lithium batteries, or an old hazmat sticker on a reused box); Poshmark covers the remaining $45.

'Sell More, Earn More' launched: an invite-only test (through at least Nov 1, 2026) lowering commission by four-week sales volume tiers — from 8% down to 3% at $1.5M+ — for US Fashion, Toys & Hobbies, and Food & Drink.

Penalty fees for underperforming sellers increased: the Below Standard surcharge rises from +6% to +7% after four consecutive months, and the Very High 'item not as described' surcharge from +5% to +6%. Sellers in good standing are unaffected.

0% commission introduced on the portion of a sale above $1,500 (limited-time) in Comics & Anime, Toys & Hobbies, Coins & Money, TCG, Entertainment Cards, and Sports Singles.

Promoted Listings attribution widened: the ad fee is now charged when the promoted item sells within 30 days of a click by ANY buyer on the ad, not only the buyer who purchased.

Texas Seller Fee Tax introduced: sellers with a Texas return address have state + local sales tax (typically ~8.25%) applied to 80% of Poshmark's seller fee, deducted at sale time.

Buyer-paid flat shipping dropped from $8.27 to $6.49 and carrier service moved from USPS Priority Mail to USPS Ground Advantage — cheaper seller-funded shipping discounts.

Final value fees increased in most categories by up to 0.35 percentage points — most categories moved to 13.6%, books/movies/music to 15.3%.

Mercari reversed its zero-fee experiment: a flat 10% selling fee on item + buyer-paid shipping returned, payment processing fees were eliminated entirely, the buyer service fee became a 3.6% Buyer Protection fee, and ACH withdrawals became free again.

After three weeks of seller backlash, Poshmark reversed its 5.99% + $1–$3 fee experiment and returned to the classic $2.95-under-$15 / 20%-at-$15+ structure, eliminating the Buyer Protection Fee.
